According to them, Messi acquired his mansion in Ibiza for "the exorbitant figure of 11 million euros", which is also an "illegal construction".

Bilbo Bassaterra, spokesman for the environmental group, says that "this is just another example of how the law does not work equally for all", noting that "this same week on the island has been evicted almost 200 workers from a settlement without a housing solution while the Popular Party, hand in hand with Vox, plan the legalization of illegal buildings in exchange for payment".

For the activist, these types of policies are "at the service of those who have the most and directly attack the rights of the rest of the population".
