The Ibiza National Police have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking while trying to smuggle a shipment of approximately 50 kilograms of ecstasy pills into the island (the stash is estimated to be over 163,000 pills).

The young man was intercepted by officers from the National Police's UDYCO Group, in coordination with officers from the National Police at the Airport Police Station, as the arrested man landed on the island on a flight from the Netherlands.

According to the National Police, the drugs were hidden in the only two suitcases the young man was carrying, a fact that caught the attention of investigators as they lacked any security measures for concealing them.

The pills seized are pink and have three different designs, one of which bears the inscription '2CB', "which could be the drug known as 'TUSIBI,'" they explained.

The UDYCO Group of the Ibiza Police Station continues the investigation to clarify the facts.

On the other hand, they reported that the detainee was brought before a court this Saturday.
