The Guardia Civil has arrested a man of British nationality for an alleged crime of drug trafficking at Ibiza airport after being caught with more than 50 grams of drugs among his belongings.

As reported Friday from the OPC of the Guardia Civil, the arrest was made on Thursday by agents of Tax and Borders serving at the airport. The guards were requested by the Airport Coordination and Operations Center (CECOA), which reported a conflictive passenger on a flight from Birmingham.

The agents boarded the plane once it was located in the assigned parking lot along with a guide from the Guardia Civil's cynological service and his dog. After identifying the passenger identified by the crew, the agents proceeded to inspect his belongings and in the seat he was sitting in, they found two packets of drugs.

The passenger was found to have two packets, one with just over 25 grams of cocaine, and the other containing 33 grams of ketamine.

The individual was arrested on suspicion of a crime against public health.
