Ibiza and Palma are among the most desired destinations for Europeans to spend New Year's Eve and welcome 2024, according to a study by flight and hotel search engine Jetcost.

Specifically, the Balearic capital is the Spanish city most sought after by Germans and the seventh for the French who intend to travel to end the year.

Likewise, Palma also appears 11th in the ranking of the most sought after by the British and Dutch, 12th by the Italians and eighth by the Portuguese.

The other Balearic island that appears in the ranking is Ibiza, which is the 12th most sought after by the Germans, 10th by the British, French and Dutch; ninth by the Italians and fifth by the Portuguese.

On the other hand, Palma is also among those sought by Spanish tourists in 14th place, in a list led by London, Tenerife and Paris.

In this way, Jetcost has assured that the tendency of Europeans to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with their families and take advantage of their year-end vacations to travel and get to know new destinations is confirmed, since flight searches for the end of the year 2023 have increased by 20 percent, while those for hotels have increased by 24 percent compared to 2022.
