The video is under investigation by the Guardia Civil.

Sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle and surrounded both in the passenger seat and all over the dashboard of bills of 20, 50 and 100 euros. In this way, with several thousand euros around him and in his hand, a resident of Formentera of Moroccan origin was recorded for social networks to boast of the money that, in theory, he earned as a pirate cab driver in the south of the island.

This video, as this newspaper of Ibiza and Formentera has been able to confirm, is already in the hands of the Civil Guard, to investigate the origin of so much cash.

Also, sources familiar with this person acknowledged that he is well known in Formentera, among other things, for acting as a shuttle for the various illegal parties that take place on the island, in addition to other types of «deals» of dubious legality.
Pirate cabs

On the other hand, the president of the Taxi Union Association of the southern Pitiusa, José Antonio Ferrer, acknowledged that, unlike what happens in Ibiza, «in Formentera we have no evidence that there are pirate cabs that are offered to customers». Ferrer acknowledged that, on occasions, the organizers of parties in private homes on the island hire certain people to act as shuttles between the different urban centers and the house in question and thus avoid the agglomeration of vehicles on the roads.

He also pointed out that «in Illetas we have the problem that many people come from Ibiza to spend the day and everyone wants to leave at the same time, between the last two hours of the afternoon. This causes a lot of people to accumulate in a very short period of time, which in certain occasions generates some chaos», which in no case generates a problem of pirate cabs «so important as to throw his hands on his head,» acknowledged the representative of the cab drivers of Formentera.
