The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has warned of a change in the weather this Tuesday in the Balearic Islands, which will lead to a drop in temperatures and north wind with strong intervals from the morning, with the consequent activation of warnings for adverse weather conditions in the Islands.

In a message posted on the social network X, the Aemet has detailed that from 11.30 am on Tuesday yellow warnings will be activated for rain, wind and coastal phenomena in Mallorca and Menorca.

In the case of Ibiza and Formentera the yellow alert for coastal phenomena will not be activated until Wednesday morning and will be maintained throughout the day. The Aemet has warned of possible waves up to 3 metres high accompanied by gusts of wind from the north of between 45 and 55 kilometres per hour.

The drop in temperatures has already begun in the Pitiusas islands, but it will be from Wednesday when it will become even more noticeable, with temperatures between 9 degrees minimum and 21 degrees maximum. On Thursday the minimum temperatures are expected to drop to 8 degrees in some parts of the island of Ibiza and the maximum is expected to be around 19 degrees in both Ibiza and Formentera.
